This year, the town of Beaune celebrates the 50th anniversary of its twinning with the town of Bensheim, Germany.
To be part of the festivities, pre-teens and teens Central office Bretonière and EMI, supervised by Marc Ory, Jérôme Turquet and Yann Smeeckaert, working since September, to the achievement of a float depicting Saint George slaying the dragon, emblem of Bensheim. The shield of the horseman, originality, a representation of the Madonna and child, symbolizing the city of Beaune.
all started with the recovery of an old horse carriage that had rust, clean and somewhat retyping. Then, a dozen young people have produced, with a remarkable attendance and enthusiasm, combined structures of metal and wood to create the horse, dragon and knight before cover with paper mache and paint. They will be presented to Beaune by scrolling through the streets of Beaune during the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
